"PEV", "PZE" AND "PZF" SERIES
WINDING TYPECONDUCTIVE POLYMER ALUMINUM ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR (HYBRID TYPE)

1. Introduction

We add surface-mount type "PEV" Series (10000h at 105ºC), and lead wire type "PZE" (10000h at 105ºC) and "PZF" (4000h at 125ºC) Series to Winding Type Conductive Polymer Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor (Hybrid Type), while we have already launched various types of such capacitor such as high-voltage lead wire type "PZA" (3000h at 105ºC) and "PZC" (3000h at 125ºC) Series, and surface-mount type "PAV" (3000h at 105ºC), "PCV" (3000h at 125ºC) and "PFV" (4000h at 125ºC, hybrid type).
Winding Type Conductive Polymer Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor has lower ESR and higher compatibility with ripple current than conventional non-solid aluminum electrolytic capacitor, as well as the feature that ESR is stable from low to high temperature ranges (low temporal changes in capacitance and ESR). The capacitor, overcoming defects of conventional capacitor, largely contributes to improvement in reliability and performance of various power supplies and downsizing of circuit board as filtering capacitor. The capacitor is ideal for outdoor instruments like communication device, standard power supply, and automotive instruments requiring compactness and light weight. Hybrid type capacitor has high capacitance and long life, in addition to excellent characteristics of the above Winding Type Conductive Polymer Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor.
The new lineup added with 105ºC long-life series and lead wire type, will be satisfied with wide demands of the market.

2. Features

Adoption of a new polymer and development of an original manufacturing method realize our Conductive Polymer Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor with high working voltage. Hybrid type capacitor contains a low ESR conductive polymer with a new additive and manufactured with a sophisticated manufacturing condition to accomplish higher capacitance and longer life as well as stable performance to ultralow temperature range same as conventional conductive polymer aluminum electrolytic capacitor.

Features of the new capacitor (35V, Φ10) are described below, compared with conventional non-solid aluminum electrolytic capacitor and solid aluminum electrolytic capacitor.

  • (1)  PEV Series (10000h at 105ºC, surface-mount type)
    The capacitor has a forth as low ESR value as non-solid aluminum electrolytic capacitor (our product) and about 3 times as high allowable ripple current value. The capacitor also has about 3 times as high capacitance value as solid aluminum electrolytic capacitor (our product). The life of the series is prolonged into 10000 hours at 105ºC from 3000 hours, so as to contribute to downsizing and higher reliability of electronic instruments.
  • (2)  PZE Series (10000h at 105ºC, lead wire type)
    The capacitor has a half as low ESR value as non-solid aluminum electrolytic capacitor (our product) and about 1.9 times as high allowable ripple current value. The capacitor also has about 2.7 times as high capacitance value as solid aluminum electrolytic capacitor (our product). The life of the series is prolonged into 10000 hours at 105ºC from 3000 hours, so as to contribute to downsizing and higher reliability of electronic instruments.
  • (3)  PZF Series (4000h at 125ºC, lead wire type)
    The capacitor has a third as low ESR value as non-solid aluminum electrolytic capacitor (our product) and about twice as high allowable ripple current value. The capacitor also has about 5 times as high capacitance value as solid aluminum electrolytic capacitor (our product). The life of the series is prolonged into 4000 hours at 105ºC from 3000 hours, so as to contribute to downsizing and higher reliability of electronic instruments.
