Purchase of Green Power Certificates from Local Biomass Power Generation

Rubycon Corporation (Headquarters: Ina City, Nagano Prefecture) is pleased to announce the purchase of 300,000 kWh of “Green Power Certificates” from Yachiyo Engineering Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Taito-ku, Tokyo). This is part of our commitment to achieving a sustainable society. The certificates are derived from the biomass power generation at the Kamiina Wide-Area Union Kamiina Clean Center in Ina City, Nagano Prefecture.

This purchase amount is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of our head office building in Ina City. As a result, the electricity used at our head office is now effectively 100% sourced from renewable energy.

The use of these Green Power Certificates is a concrete action to promote the reduction of CO2 emissions from our business activities. In particular, we believe that by purchasing the environmental value of clean electricity generated within the Kamiina region, where our business is based, we can contribute to the local production and consumption of energy and the formation of a circular, community-based society.
