Rubycon Indonesia (RI), the Indonesian subsidiary of Rubycon Group, conducted a mangrove tree-planting activity on Batam Island, Indonesia on July 18, 2026. Approximately 2,000 mangrove trees were planted, contributing to the conservation of the regional environment and the creation of a sustainable society.

On the day of the event, Representative Director and President Akahane also participated and engaged in tree-planting activities together with RI employees and local stakeholders.

This initiative was realized through cooperation with RBI (Rumpun Bakau Indah), an environmental protection organization that promotes mangrove conservation and restoration activities in Batam City. RBI continuously carries out activities ranging from mangrove seedling cultivation to tree planting and maintenance management, working to preserve the coastal environment of the region.

Mangroves play an important role in preventing coastal erosion, maintaining ecosystems, and absorbing carbon dioxide. Through such regional environmental conservation activities, Rubycon Indonesia is committed to coexistence with local communities and the promotion of sustainable business operations.

Additionally, this activity was featured in “Batam Pos,” a leading newspaper in the Batam region, and was introduced as an environmental conservation initiative through collaboration between the company and local society.

Going forward, Rubycon Group will continue to deepen its collaboration with local communities, pursue environmental conservation activities, and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.
