Polymer Multi-Layer Capacitors(PMLCAP)

 PMLCAP is a surface mount type film capacitor that realized significant downsizing compared with conventional film capacitors by adopting innovative technology of forming electrodes and dielectrics by vacuum evaporation.
 PMLCAP has excellent frequency characteristics and temperature characteristics, and it has better "bias characteristics", "beat tone characteristics", "harmonic distortion ratio", etc. compared to the high permittivity type multilayer ceramic capacitors.(For details, please see the technical note.)

  • Features
    ・Compact and lightweight multilayer capacitor forming its dielectric layer with a thickness   of 1µm or less.
    ・Stable temperature characteristic, unnecessary voltage derating.
    ・No piezoelectric effect, therefore no capacity reduction and frequency characteristic   change due to bias applying.
    ・Lead free reflow mounting is available by adopting high heat resistance dielectric resin.(except for LDT series)
    ・Low dielectric absorption.
    ・Low leakage current.
  • Applications
    ・DC/DC converter input / output.
    ・Various digital circuits.
    (Decoupling of DSP drive power supply, low pass filter, bypass circuit, coupling of signal line etc.)
    ・EMC noise reduction bypass circuit.
